900100 SBR Rubber Sheets

The key features
-Good Abrasion Resistance: It is perfect for high-contact and friction applications because it offers exceptional wear resistance.
-Moderate Weather Resistance: SBR is less resilient to severe weather than some other rubber kinds, such as EPDM, although it can tolerate mild environmental conditions.
-Good Tear Strength: Provides strong resilience and resistance to tearing when subjected to mechanical stress.
-Moderate Oil Resistance: Does well in oil-exposed situations, although not as well as nitrile (NBR).
- Good Tensile Strength: Suitable for sections that must bend or stretch without breaking, it provides respectable stretching resistance under tension.
- Low Cost: SBR rubber is among the least expensive rubber varieties, which makes it perfect for uses requiring low to moderate performance.
- Non-Polar: SBR is more stable in many industrial settings and tends to be less reactive to chemicals due to its non-polar nature.

Details

SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) is a synthetic rubber created by Styrene (25–30%) are copolymerized and butadiene (70–75%).

Because of its excellent abrasion resistance, wear resistance, and affordability, it is one of the most widely used kinds of synthetic rubber. SBR rubber sheets are extensively utilized in industrial, automotive, and construction applications, particularly in situations requiring wear resistance, impact resistance, and acceptable performance at moderate temperatures.

SBR rubber sheets are frequently utilized in applications including flooring, seals, gaskets, and automotive parts where flexibility, durability, and resistance to mechanical stresses are required. They come in different thicknesses, hardness levels, and surface finishes and are frequently strengthened with fabric or fillers (such carbon black) to improve durability.

What are the key features of SBR Rubber Sheets?

1,Good Abrasion Resistance: It is perfect for high-contact and friction applications because it offers exceptional wear resistance.

2,Moderate Weather Resistance: SBR is less resilient to severe weather than some other rubber kinds, such as EPDM, although it can tolerate mild environmental conditions.

3,Good Tear Strength: Provides strong resilience and resistance to tearing when subjected to mechanical stress.

4,Moderate Oil Resistance: Does well in oil-exposed situations, although not as well as nitrile (NBR).

5, Good Tensile Strength: Suitable for sections that must bend or stretch without breaking, it provides respectable stretching resistance under tension.

6, Low Cost: SBR rubber is among the least expensive rubber varieties, which makes it perfect for uses requiring low to moderate performance.

7, Non-Polar: SBR is more stable in many industrial settings and tends to be less reactive to chemicals due to its non-polar nature.

How many types of SBR rubber sheets are there?

Depending on particular requirements, SBR rubber sheets come in a variety of grades and compositions.

-All-purpose SBR Rubber Sheets

SBR is used in applications such as conveyor belts, seals, and gaskets in settings where abrasion resistance is crucial but strong oil resistance is not required.

Its basic formulation is intended for broad industrial applications.

It offers good wear and abrasion resistance.

-Superior SBR Rubber Sheets

Used in heavy-duty applications where higher performance is required;

Used in mining, industrial machinery, and heavy-duty equipment requiring more durable and high-impact resistance;

Specifically designed SBR with improved abrasion and tear resistance coupled with increased tensile strength.

-Rubber sheets made from recycled SBR

Cost-effective and eco-friendly, with good overall abrasion resistance;

Made from recycled SBR material, providing a more sustainable solution.

Suitable for typical industrial applications, floor mats, and vehicle parts.

-Rubber Sheets from SBR with Additives

Used in applications requiring extra resilience to extreme conditions, like outdoor seals or automotive parts;

Modified with additives like carbon black, plasticizers, or anti-aging agents;

Enhances specific properties like UV resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.

What are the advantages and benefits of SBR rubber sheets?

1、Cost-effective: When compared to other synthetic rubbers like Viton or EPDM, SBR rubber sheets are less expensive.

2、Durability: able to withstand a wide range of industrial uses.

3、High Abrasion Resistance: Perfect for high contact and wear industrial applications.

4、Versatility: It comes in several grades and may be modified for a variety of uses, such as conveyor belts and automobile parts.

5、Good Mechanical Properties: Suitable for seals and gaskets, it has good flexibility, tensile strength, and tear resistance.

6、Eco-friendly, recyclable, and less expensive than glass and polycarbonate and repurposed for environmentally friendly uses.

7、Good Processability: Easy to build, mill, and process into various shapes, including bushings, seals, and gaskets.

What applications are SBR rubber sheets used for?

 Because SBR rubber sheets are flexible, abrasion-resistant, and reasonably priced, they are utilized in many different industries and applications.

1,General Manufacturing: Used in vibration damping, safety mats, soundproofing materials, and shock absorbers.

2、Automotive Industry: Found in floor mats, tires, gaskets, seals, and weather strips.

3,Food Processing: FDA-approved SBR grades are utilized for machine parts and floor mats that are not in contact with food.

4,Industrial machinery: Used in gaskets, rollers, conveyor belts, and bearings that need to withstand wear and tear.

5,Mining: wear-resistant parts, heavy-duty mats, and rubber linings.

6,Construction: roofing materials, expansion joints, and waterproofing membranes.

How to store and handle SBR rubber sheets?

1、 Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat (above 70°C).Avoid moisture .

2、ensure even distribution of weight orAvoid placing heavy objects to prevent deformation or damage.

3、Handle gently to avoid abrasions, cuts, or punctures.

4、SBR sheets can be stored for several months or years if stored properly. However, long-term exposure to UV light may cause them to degrade. Periodically inspect stored materials for any visible damage or degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: How can I machine or cut SBR rubber sheets?

Answer: Using common CNC equipment and cutting tools, SBR sheets are simple to drill, cut, and process. To prevent damage or a rough cut, use the proper tool for rubber.

Question 2: How SBR sheets should be cleaned

Answer: Use water and mild soap. Steer clear of solvents like gasoline or acetone.

Question 3: Is SBR rubber sheet oil and gasoline resistant?

Answer: No, SBR rubber sheets swell when exposed to fuel or oil. For oil resistance, use nitrile (NBR).

Question 4: Is it possible to use SBR rubber in high-temperature applications?

Answer: SBR is not appropriate for high-temperature settings, however it does well in moderate temperature ranges (up to 70°C). Think of silicone or EPDM for higher temperatures.

Question 5: What distinguishes EPDM, NBR, and SBR rubber sheets?
