PA (NYLON) TUBES

Nylon tubes, also known as Polyamide Tubes or PA Tubes, are cylindrical, hollow constructions composed of polyamide resins that are designed for pneumatic, fluid, or gas transportation. Their main purpose, in contrast to solid nylon rods or sheets, is to offer a resilient, flexible, and lightweight media transfer channel in dynamic systems.

How many types of PA Nylon tubes are there?

1、Standard PA6/PA66 for general-purpose application is non-reinforced. 

2、Braid-Reinforced: High-pressure braid made of steel and polyester (such as PA12+braid). 

3、Conductive: Packed with carbon to dissipate static in explosive settings.

Technical Specifications:

1、 Density: 1.01-1.02 g/cm³ (PA12), 1.12-1.15 g/cm³ (PA6/PA66). 

2、PA6 (3.0-3.5%), PA66 (2.5-3.0%), and PA12 (1.5%) absorb moisture. 

3、PA6 and PA66 have tensile strengths of 70–100 and 80–120 MPa, respectively. 

4、PA6 (~220°C), PA66 (~260°C), and PA12 (~178°C) are the melting points. 

5、 Materials: PA66 (high-temperature), PA11/PA12 (flexible, fuel-resistant), and PA6 (general use). 

6、Thermal Expansion: High, requiring careful planning.

How to store and handle PA Nylon tubes?

1、Coiling: To prevent distortion, large-diameter tubes should be coiled freely (≥20x OD). 

2、To prevent UV exposure, store in dark or opaque packaging. 

3、Dry Environment: If stored for more than six months, pre-dry before using to prevent moisture absorption.

4、Temperature Control: To avoid softening, keep the temperature below 40°C.
