POM (ACETAL) TUBES

Made from semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic polymerized formaldehyde, POM (Polyoxymethylene) tubes are hollow, cylindrical, high-performance plastic profiles. They are perfect for fluid transfer, structural, and wear-resistant applications because they combine high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and low friction. They are also referred to as acetal or polyacetal tubes. These tubes, which can be made in a range of diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths and are machinable into custom parts like bushings, rollers, and fluid-handling components, are available as homopolymer (like Delrin®) or copolymer (like Celcon®).

2、Natural (Unfilled) Acetal Tubes: Typical POM tubes that combine strength and ease of machining.

2、 Tensile strength: 50–60 MPa for copolymers and 60–70 MPa for homopolymers. 

3、Depending on grades, the operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 100°C. 

4、 100–120 MPa is the compressive strength. 

5、 Shore D Hardness: ~M80 (Copolymer), ~M85 (Homopolymer) 

6、 Flexural Strength: approximately 110–125 MPa 

7、 In dry conditions, the coefficient of friction is approximately 0.25 to 0.3. 8、 Melting points for homopolymers and copolymers are 175°C and 165°C, respectively.
